I got a job.
I recently got a job.
It feels awesome.
It also leaves no time for art or other goodies (mainly, video games). In addition, I now understand why people get excited for weekends. When you’re unemployed every day’s a weekend, so the excitement behind an actual weekend never phased me.
I’m a frugal person, but at the moment this new cash is burnin’ a hole in my pocket. I’ve narrowed my options down to 3. (Sidenote: I was creating a collage of these options, but before I saved, Photoshop thought it’d be a great idea to stop working. “On a scale of 1 to Chris Brown, how pissed [was I]?” Not very, but annoyed.) Anywho, I’m either going to get a LoveSac, a Segway, or just make it rain, in general.
There’s not much time in a weekend, so I better get back to it.

Rock Band
Helped my bro shoot his Photoshop project. It looks pretty rad. We decided to jazz it up with a Scott Pilgrim-esque text overlay.

9 sec.
This clip is longer than all my sexual encounters combined.
Nicole and I experimented with bullet-time, stop motion photos when we were in France. This is only 3 of the places we shot. I plan on adding the others eventually, but I’m full of broken promises.
Also, I love that Nicole looks like La Roux at Omaha Beach and the video suggestions consist of “Bulletproof” because of the title. Classic, YouTube.
Total eclipse of the…moon.
As most of you know, there was a lunar eclipse starting at about 1:42am (EST). While my lens isn’t suited for capturing objects 238,857 miles away, I managed to get some decent (at best) shots. Irregardless, it was cool to watch!

I keep things surreal.
I’m back from France and I don’t feel like blogging at the moment, but thought I’d throw up an experimental image. I decided to attempt HDRs (High Dynamic Range) images while across the pond. Do you see what I did there? That works on two levels as some idioms refer to the Atlantic as ‘the pond’ and there is quite literally a pond in the image. This, of course, is the type of wit you will get by visiting my blog. You’re welcome. Anyway, an HDR is capturing an underexposed, overexposed and correctly exposed image, then combining them digitally to create a greater range of luminance and revealing more details, thus a more accurate representation. Or you can go bonkers and create an extreme surrealist version like this!

Pumped.
It has been too long since I’ve worked on my drawings. I want to finish them! Although, I don’t know that I could ever truly be “finished” as I’m constantly altering things. Perhaps, I should pretend my drawings have deadlines? I doubt that would work. It’d be like setting my alarm for 9am, knowing there was no reason to wake up — snooze.
Anywho, big ups to my main lady, Kat, for the shout out on her blog. To honor her, I’m posting my Family Guy rendition of her alongside Stewie. For the record, she does an awesome impression of Herbert, the homosexual pedophile. Something she can surely be proud of! Shame I didn’t have this up to show with all this new blog traffic coming from her site! (She must be popular.)
She’s quite the motivator, too. I haven’t had much to show these past few weeks, but talking to her got me all sorts of pumped to get artsy. As she already knows, I’d like to collaborate on something with her. So, “let’s du-et!”
In the next few weeks, I’ll be working on my drawings and I have an upcoming trip to France, and possibly Germany, so I should have plenty to show photographically-speaking. I’ve been to France prior to this trip, so lucky-for-me I’ve taken all the touristy pics. This time around I’ll be in the countryside and have plenty of time to trek around. The thought of it gives me a boner boner.
